Wirra Wirra Scrubby Rise Shiraz 2017

Scrubby has had a makeover from what I last recall. And perhaps this varietal Shiraz is a new addition.

Something like a toffeeish aroma on intro, a caramelisation meets some deep set Plummy fruit. Slick and full. An immediate spice sets about assaulting the palate, probing and seeking out the furthest reaches.

It's a sensation that persists, giving far reaching length. Perhaps lacking in structure, it more than makes up for that in palate presence. But jeez it drinks well for $17, a fine release. 89

Tasted on: Friday 5th April, a Leaf day
Source: Sample
Price: $17
Alcohol: 14.5%
Closure: Screwcap
