Samples...

Sending Wine Samples to a Blogger
If you want to send me samples, Great.  Thanks.  If you wish to contact me, please do so here.

What should you send?
It's good practice to ensure that every bottle have a sticker affixed to it with the following information written or printed on it:

- Your name, e-mail address, and telephone number
- Twitter user name (if you use that channel)
- The URL of the winery
- A price in Australian $

How to pack your wine samples
Preferably no Styrofoam. There are a million better ways to pack your wine than with styrofoam. Don't use it. I like cardboard, I can reuse it or recycle.

The Review
It will be independent, based on how I find it.  It will be assessed over a couple of days and served at correct temperatures to look at it in optimum conditions.  It will be written according to my palate.

About Your Website
Your web site should be up to date - what does it say to customers if the wines on the website are from 2-3 release ago? - and have the following things on it at a minimum:

- HTML or PDF downloadable tech sheets for every wine you just sent as a sample
- downloadable images of every wine, preferably bottle silhouettes on a white backdrop
- downloadable logo image(s) for the winery
- the name of your marketing or PR firm (if you have one) and the appropriate contact there.

But of course, you also want all sorts of beautifully written content and images telling your story for the world to read, as well. Keep it all up to date, which means making changes when your winemaker changes, your PR firm changes, when you release new wines.  If you don't have time to keep across all of this, there are many communications professionals out there to help, such as Mastermind Consulting or Wining Pom Communications.
