Langmeil Mataro 2012

Immediately meaty/gamey, woody, smells deep, dark and dense: the Mataro abyss!

Mataro's spice, lovely balance against fruit sweetness - of blue fruits, plum and mulberry; good structure, leaves a lasting impression.

Finishes well: tannin, bold flavour and a lingering palate presence. 92

Tasted on: Thursday 26th May, a Fruit to Root day
Source: Cellar Door
Price: $30
Alcohol: 14.5%
Closure: Screwcap
