Ballabourneen Wines Pinot/Gamay 2015
A Pinot Noir/ Gamay blend from the Hunter Valley, unsure of the cepage. Somewhat surprised to see the alcohol recorded at 15%.
Opens with cherry, a little wild strawberry. Squarely medium bodied, a tasty little juice bomb; black cherry, a little savoury edge - earth, fine tannin. Not the most complex wine, not intending to be.
Takes a little chill happily. Chilled this consumer. 89
