Clare Cabernet when on song, can simply be beautiful. It may not carry the gravitas of some more traditional regions, or possess the same structure, but for around $20 here we have a compelling drinking proposition.Such an attractive introduction: menthol, red fruit, choc-mint, touch of bay leaf. So fresh and vibrant.
Medium bodied, red fruit freshness, acidity too; segues to a little cherry and black compote, easy tannin - fine, veering towards a little powdery.
Good length - flavour, body and - in its own way - a little structure. 92
