Gerler The Fog 2019

A blend of Touriga, Montepulciano, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, and Nero d'Avola.

Just like the blend from which it's formed, the aromatics are a riot of flavour, drawing from citrus, to juicy red and black Berry. Perhaps the point being not to explicitly state specific aromatic descriptor, but rather to convey the mix of pleasures one derives from this unusual blend.

The palate shows more of that mix, with the added complexity of what comes across as something like a desiccated coconut addition (kinda reminding a little like a lamington - I shit you not).

Tannins are fine, the flavour persistent, the final drive of black fruit driving this wine on further. Unusual, but bloody compelling. 92
